Like every year, this year too several eminent personalities from various fields have been chosen for the prestigious Padma awards. According to sources, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission Anil Kakodkar, noted environmentalist Sunderlal Bahuguna and Ashok S Ganguly, a member of the PM's Council on Trade and Industry as well as Investment Commission has been chosen for the Padma Vibhushan.
Several Bollywood actors like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Helen and Akshay Kumar have been picked for the prestigious Padma awards.
