Kingfisher calendar 2009 launch

A bevy of models, an ace photographer, and a man with a vision get together to create the most sought-after calendar of the year. So, what makes the Kingfisher Calendar 2009 special? We find out...


The Kingfisher team zeroed in on the beautiful locales of Koh Samui, Thailand. But unfortunately, it was raining heavily on the location. "The elements were a bit against us for most of the shoots. Luckily, God was on our side, we managed to get some exceptional images," Atul said.


"The girls are not posing per say, all the shots are very natural and very different from what we have seen prior. This year we have two images per page and it has worked quite beautifully for us," he added.


Atul tries to reinvent himself year after year by making the feel of the calendar very different and unusual. "This is something I put my heart and soul into. It's very special to me," said the photographer.
